Welcome to Forró Tuesday! This week we'll have an amazing guest teacher joining us to teach an intermediate / advanced level masterclass. Forró Foundations is happy to present Kamilla Esteves!!! ABOUT KAMILLA: Kamilla began dancing forró in 2010 when she moved to the United States. Since 2014, she has choreographed and taught at many events and festivals in cities like Boston, New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Amherst, Chicago, Santos, and Poços de Caldas. Kamilla is a language teacher; she has a Master’s degree in Education and is currently in a Portuguese PhD program. She uses her educational background in her forró lessons and hopes to bring a more fun and open-minded mentality into her classes. Kamilla has fun being a leader and a follower, and she believes dancers should explore and experience both roles. For this class, intermediate/advanced students will have access to the beginner class with Forró Foundations Director, Chinedu Okoye, free of charge, as an opportunity to warm up for the class with Kamilla that follows: 7pm - Beginner Class with Chinedu Okoye 7.45pm - Masterclass with Kamilla Esteves 9.15pm - Free Dancing and Practice until 10pm See you on the dancefloor!
