Happy New Year! It's time for Forró in Floripa! We are proud to welcome to the stage our special international guest, DJ âMy B! Originally from São Paulo and currently settled in Lyon, France, she is known around the world for her dedication to the spread of Brazilian music & culture!

About the event
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our first Forró in Floripa of 2023! For this special edition, we have invited to the stage, all the way from Lyon, France, our international guest DJ âMy B!
ABOUT DJ âMy B
âMy B, who is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, is a DJ, music producer and cultural producer, currently living in Lyon, France.
As she has participated in festivals and parties across Europe and Brazil, her name and sound are known far and wide!
In Europe she is widely recognised as being the first female DJ to work exclusively with Brazilian Culture, as well as being the first female DJ to specialise in Forró.
In Lyon, where she has been for the past few years, she is currently the vice-president of the city's Forró association, with which she organises monthly events, marathons and the first Forró em Lyon Festival in May 2022. Since 2017, she also organises "Forró da âMy", Lyon's only weekly forró party!
Finally, she is also the founder of the Carnavália collective, which has been promoting Brazilian Culture in Lyon since 2019 and resident DJ at Radio Nova Lyon.

We'll have dance classes with the Forró Foundations teaching team followed by our Forró in Floripa Party with DJ âMy B taking to the stage.

Sunday 29th January 2023. This ticket includes the beginner introductory dance class and the party with international guest DJ âMy B! This online ticket is £12.50 + booking fee. Tickets will be £15 on the door.

Before the main event, from 4pm - 5.30pm, we will have a Roots Masterclass with Chinedu Okoye, the founder and lead teacher of Forró Foundations. Intermediate to Advanced level dancers who have previously danced forró. This ticket also includes access to all parts of the main event, including the introductory forró class and the main party with our international guest DJ âMy B.
