ABOUT TRIO DONA ZEFA

With 20 years on the road, Trio Dona Zefa is one of the largest traditional forró groups in existence. In addition to traveling throughout Brazil, the trio has already toured internationally. To date, the group has already released five CDs, two LPs and a DVD. Among the partnerships are big names such as Dominguinhos, Genival Lacerda and Anastácia. From Murillo's unmistakable zabumba, Danilo's unique voice and compositions, to Milla's always exciting accordion, it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite! The fact is that all this together on stage results in magical performances, marked by respect and love. To traditional forró and its beautiful cultural variety, this is Trio Dona Zefa!

In the repertoire of the new show "Forró De Cabo a Rabo", the songs from the new album, as well as partnerships with Dominguinhos, Genival Lacerda and Anastácia are all presented. Songs that have been carefully researched and chosen from the vast collection of traditional forró, in addition to great reinterpretations of Luiz Gonzaga's classics, Trio Nordestino, Jackson do Pandeiro will all be there for the fans to savor. In the show, the most varied types of audience enjoy a trio of forró pé de serra transitioning through an eclectic and original repertoire, never failing to make everyone dance from beginning to end.

Since the beginning of their career, Trio Dona Zefa's main objective has been to show the authentic forró pé de serra, with all its beauties and peculiarities. With a unique cadence recognized inside and outside Brazil, the trio has been conquering more and more fans, taking the legacy of traditional forró forward.

History:

Founded in 2002 in the city of Campinas, Trio Dona Zefa soon started to spend little time at home, when in 2005 they won the biggest forró festival in the world, FENFIT, held every year in the city of Itaúnas/ES. After winning, the trio's first album was released, entitled "Forró Do Talarico", the name of the song composed by the group's singer, Danilo Ramalho. Since then, the trio has toured several Brazilian states, toured Europe, released four more CDs, a DVD celebrating 10 years on the road, two LPs, sang along with renowned artists such as Dominguinhos, Genival Lacerda, Elke Maravilha, and Mestre Zinho. They have taken to some of the most stages and festivals around the world. Even with so much success, with each passing year new conquests are made, and the respect and love for forró remain intact from the beginning.

International presentations and special appearances:

The trio has already performed in more than 10 European countries and also in Palestine. Among the participation of artists with the group, it is essential to mention:

- Dominguinhos: The late master Dominguinhos, sang along with the trio in the original song by Danilo Ramalho “Vida Boa Danada”, a beautiful baião. Dominguinhos and Trio Dona Zefa also played together in two presentations in 2011 at Andarilho Bar, in the city of Campinas/SP. The two concerts were very emotional, and something that hadn't happened for many years happened. Dominguinhos, even with the wear and tear of age and decades traveling the world, happily played for more than 1 hour with the trio, which left everyone present very emotional.

- Genival Lacerda: Senador do rojão, as he is popularly known, sang on the trio's latest CD, on the song "Forró Nacional" and participated in presentations held at the traditional Canto Da Ema, located in the city of São Paulo.

- Enok Virgulino: The famous singer and founder of Trio Virgulino, recorded the song “Rolê no Rio”, on the trio's first CD. In the most recent album, together with Danilo Ramalho, he composed the song “Tô Ficando”, a cadenced xote that has been very well received by forrozeiros.
